Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms are an agreement between you and 1MillionResume, India ("1MillionResume", "we", "us"). They cover 1millionresume.com, app.1millionresume.com, it's subdomains, our free tools (such as the Free Resume Checker), the AI Resume Builder and paid plans, and our Resume Writing and Review services ("Expert Services") (together, the "Services").

You accept these Terms when you sign up, upload a file or use any tool, make a payment, or engage us for Expert Services. If you don't agree, please don't use the Services.

Our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy and Refund Policy are part of these Terms.

2. Eligibility and Your Account

You must be 18 or older. Give us accurate information and keep your login details safe. You are responsible for activity on your account. Tell us at contact@1millionresume.com if you suspect misuse. Do not share your account or create multiple accounts to get around usage limits.

3. Our Services

Free tools: The Free Resume Checker and Free plan are provided free, with limits that may change. Scores and reports are automated estimates and do not reflect how any employer's ATS will rate your resume.

Builder plans (Basic and Pro): Paid plans give extra features for a fixed period, as shown on our pricing page.

Expert Services: Resume, LinkedIn and cover letter writing and reviews, delivered by our writers after we agree the scope with you.

4. Acceptable Use

You must follow the Information Technology Act, 2000 and other applicable laws. The Services are for individuals preparing their own job applications. They may not be used commercially (for example, by agencies or consultants preparing documents for others). For commercial use, contact contact@1millionresume.com.

You must not:

• upload content that is unlawful, infringing, harmful, defamatory, obscene, harassing or that harms minors
• impersonate anyone or submit information you have no right to share
• upload malware or interfere with our systems or other users
• scrape or copy the Services, or reverse engineer, resell or sublicense them
• bypass limits, security or payment systems

We may suspend or remove access if you break these rules.

5. Your Content, AI and No Guarantee

You own your resumes and documents ("Your Content"). You allow us to store and process them to provide the Services to you. You confirm that your content is true, accurate and yours to share.

Some features use AI and automated analysis, and your content may be processed by trusted third-party providers, as described in the Privacy Policy. AI can make mistakes so you must review everything before using it.

We do not guarantee interviews, job offers or any employment outcome. Testimonials on our site are individual experiences.

6. Payment Terms

Pricing, currency and taxes: Prices are shown on our pricing pages, at checkout or in your quote or payment request, in the currency shown there. Prices are inclusive of applicable taxes, including GST. Invoices are available for download in your account payment history page.

Payment processing: Payments are processed by renowned payment providers(PayPal, Razorpay etc). We do not store your full card details. You confirm you are authorised to use the payment method.

Builder plans: These are one-time purchases for the validity period chosen (for example 1, 3 or 6 months), starting on payment. They do not auto-renew and there is no recurring debit. After expiry your account moves to the Free plan.

Expert Services: We agree the scope, price, number of revisions and delivery time with you by email, chat or call. We then send a payment link or invoice, and work starts once payment and the information we need are received. Timelines run from that date. You must provide accurate information and review drafts promptly.

Failed or duplicate payments: If you are debited but the service is not activated, or you are charged twice, email us with the transaction ID. See the Refund Policy.

Refunds and cancellations: Governed by the Refund Policy.

Chargebacks: Please contact us before raising a dispute with your bank. We may suspend access while a dispute is open.

Price changes: Changes do not affect plans you have already paid for.

7. Intellectual Property

We own the Services, including the software, templates, designs, AI features, content and the 1MillionResume name and logo. You may use our templates and the documents you create with them for your own job applications, but not resell or redistribute them. You keep ownership of Your Content. After full payment, you own the final documents delivered through Expert Services. If you give us feedback, we may use it freely. To report an IP infringement, write to contact@1millionresume.com.

8. Disclaimer

The Services are provided "as is" and "as available". We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation or that results, scores or AI output will be accurate or suitable for your situation. We are not responsible for failures outside our reasonable control, including internet or third-party outages and events beyond our control.

9. Limitation of Liability

We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost job opportunities, income or data. Our total liability for any claim relating to a paid Service is limited to the amount you paid for that Service. We have no liability for free Services. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law or your statutory consumer rights.

10. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold us (and our owners, employees and writers) harmless from claims, losses and reasonable legal costs arising from: your breach of these Terms; Your Content, including false, unlawful or infringing content; or your violation of any law or third-party right.

11. Suspension and Termination

You may stop using the Services or delete your account at any time (see the Privacy Policy). We may suspend or end access if you breach these Terms, misuse the Services or fail to pay. Sections that should survive (including 5, 7 to 10 and 12) continue after termination.

12. Changes, Governing Law and Grievances

We may update these Terms. The "Last updated" date shows the latest version, and we will give notice of material changes on the site or by email.

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Please contact us first at contact@1millionresume.com so we can try to resolve any issue within 30 days. After that, the courts at India have jurisdiction.
